Buddha and YOU

This is what the Buddha did.
He didn’t say, “I’ll try.”
He didn’t say, “I hope I’ll find the Truth.”
He didn’t say, “I’ll do my best.”
He didn’t say, “If not in this lifetime, then maybe next lifetime.”
He came to the point where he didn’t look for anyone else to tell him the Truth or show him the Truth. He came to the point where he took it all on himself. He sat alone under the Bodhi Tree and vowed never to give up until the Truth be realized.
The power of this very simple, yet unshakable intention and absolute stand to be liberated in this lifetime propelled him to awaken to the simple fact that he and all beings are liberated—that all beings are freedom itself. Pure awakeness.
The Buddha was no different from YOU. No different......

The Words

When you change your words you will change your life. Think before you speak.
Make positive affirmations and create more happiness and success in your life. Try to use the following replacement words to create more self-confidence and to build self-esteem.

Replace the words "I can’t" with "I haven’t yet."
Replace the words "If I" with "When I."
Replace the words "I will try" with "I will do."
Replace the words "That’s going to be a problem" with "That’s going to be a challenge."
Replace the words "I don’t know" with "I will find out."
Replace the words "What a failure" with "What a success --I learned something."

Practice using these replacement words until they become a natural automatic way of speaking and thinking., until they become a habit. You will be pleased with the results!

How do I change?

If I feel depressed I will sing.
If I feel sad I will laugh.
If I feel ill I will double my labour.
If I feel fear I will plunge ahead.
If I feel inferior I will wear new garments.
If I feel uncertain I will raise my voice.
If I feel poverty I will think of wealth to come.
If I feel incompetent I will think of past success.
If I feel insignificant I will remember my goals.
Today I will be the master of my emotions.

Success Is a Determined Action

The foolish with all their other thoughts, have this one too:
They are always getting ready to live, but never living.
Your success will start when you begin to pursue it.

To reach your goal or to attain success,
you don't need to know all the answers in advance.
You just need to have a clear idea of what your goal is.

Don't procrastinate when faced with a difficult problem.
Break your problems into parts, and handle one part at a time.
Develop tendencies toward taking action.

You can make something happen now.
Break your big plan into small steps and take that first step right away.
Everyone who ever got where they arehad to begin where they were.

Your big opportunity is where you are right now.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.
Take it.
